ASREA - The Association of Real Estate Agents
The Association of Swedish Real Estate Agents initiated its operations in 1919 and may look back at 90 years of successful operation, not only with the estate agents’ best interest as a guiding-star, but also in the interest of society and the clients. Among other things, this has resulted in the Association having been consulted by the authorities as an advisory body on trade issues.
The Association aims at developing and ameliorating the estate agency service by service, education and authorisation of individual estate agents.
The task of the Association is to inform on the preconditions for the work as an estate agent and on what may be regarded as good estate agency practice as well as to increase competence and improve the estate agent’s prospects of doing a good job.
The estate agents associated with the Association of Swedish Real Estate Agents have pledged to work in compliance with specific ethical rules governing the estate agent’s position vis-a-vis the public, employers and colleagues. In capacity of his/her membership in the Association, the estate agent gets access to expert competence within the areas of law, insurances, education and marketing. The estate agent’s clients, the seller and the buyer, have access to the customer service of the Association enabling them to have answers to their questions about the estate agency service.
Estate agents associated with the Association of Swedish Real Estate Agents have a liability insurance SEK 500,000 higher than what the law stipulates.
